Dynamo D6 - The Cube
D6 is the cubic version of the Dynamo project. Taking up Platonic treatises, the Cube represents the earth, a symbol linked to Gaia, the living planet. The design is a black cube, with clean and minimal lines, enriched by lush green cover if required. The functional value, entrusted to thermal and photovoltaic solar panels, is interconnected with the aesthetic value. The cube is a recognized and accepted form, bringer of order and perfection. Black is symbol of elegance and technological performance. The Dynamo technologies find in D6 original collocations, such as the elegant photovoltaic floor area.
Thanks to its regular shape Dynamo D6 can be installed in series and find different insertion scenarios. It can satisfy the energy needs of a building of 1.300 square meters: heating, air conditioning, electricity and hot water. Due to its repeatability can make independent even large buildings. The use of Gaia, compared to a traditional energy system, can annually avoid the
emission of about 30 tons of CO2.

How does it works
The aim of D6 is to provide comfort, independence and efficiency using the energy donated us by sun and earth. New generation of thermal solar collectors is positioned on the square surfaces of the cube, while in its around is installated a stylish photovoltaic floor.
The interior of the cube is a technical space in which you can find a reversible geothermal heat pump, two inertial thermal storages and an electric battery.
Dynamo D6 is designed to work perfectly in both winter and summertime, providing heating, cooling and hot water production.
During the heating cycle, the heat pump captures heat energy from solar panels and from earth. The excess of thermal energy can be completely tranferred into the soil that becomes a natural thermal storage. In summertime the heat pump reverses its cycle, subtracting heat from the buiding and moving it into the soil, ensuring the performance for the following winter.
The photovoltaic system ensures the supply of electrical energy needed to power the heat pump system. When electicity production is high, an electric battery stores the surplus energy, and through an inverter sends it to utilities.

Solar Thermal Panels
The energy of sun is used by the cube square surfaces. The solar thermal loop is connected with geothermal loop. During winter the energy is used by heat pump to satisfy the heating demands. In summertime solar thermal can be used to regenerate the soil and to produce hot water for domestic use.
The photovoltaic surface ensures electrical energy needs. The absorbing surface is desigend as fstylish looring tiles.
Shallow geothermal loop exchanges energy with heat pump for heating in wintertime and cooling in summertime. Geothermal loop can be used as energy storage in certain conditions.
A smart control system manages the different components to maximise the global performance as a function of energy inputs and outputs, using also weather forecast. The system provides real-time data to users and can be managed by remote for maintenance.
The electric storage accumulates electricity produced by photovoltaic panels. The electricity can be used by the system itself or be sent to the building for the supply of other electrical machines or lighting.
The Thermal Storages accumulate energy produced by solar and geothermal systems. The accumulation ensures a continuous presence of heat even in the absence of direct production by natural sources.
Green is our colour, and the hat of D6 must be green. Dynamo uses natural power with no environmental impact. The green roof is symbol of this link with the nature.
The Dynamo D6 structure is preassembled and it is installed directly on site; all structural components are transported in containers. The backbone of the solid is made up of 5 squares made in metallic tubular with 70x70x3 section, and by a special part representing the access door. The squares are assembled on site by bolting and without welds. Weldings are made exclusively at the factory to ensure quality and efficiency standards.
The door is a single panel, but it also hosts a pentagonal design in metallic tubular profiles with section 30x30x2. A glazed section and a perforated panel are inserted into the door to allow ventilation of the internal space. Hydraulic pistons adjust the door movement. The panels are fixed directly to the structure using bolts. A digital display connected to the internal multi source system can be positioned on the door, in order to show the production of energy achieved.
